Bob Coles kinda like Ronald Reagan. Sure, he goes to work without remembering to wear his pants and wears a lampshade in the rain but he’s not hurting anyone.
This week, during some pretty intense action, he actually called “Everything is happening!”
Thanks Bob!
Jim Hughson was probably the best play by play guy I can think of…
@ the other nifty…I ask with all due respect you don’t dis “the Bob” I am sure they are aware his age is catching up with him but that guy has famous hockey quotes all over Canadian hockey brodacast history…..On another note ..thanks for the schedule Matt.
GO BRUINS GO !!! ALL OF EM.
That first game is Bob Cole’s supper time. I’m convinced his line-up is in braille. I hear people complain about Edwards but does he know who’s on the ice at least? At 79 or so Bob’s better days are behind him. I wouldn’t want him calling a horse race. ” I’m not sure who got the win. But Gary those horses were flying.”
Last year, there were times when the Red Sox took precedence over the Bruins on NESN in April/May… regardless of how awful the Sox were. That’s what you get when John Henry owns NESN. Next thing you know, NESN will be showing Lebron specials instead of playoff hockey… what a joke.
P.S. Baseball is a game, not a sport. Just saying.
Matinee games…welcome to hockey in America where it takes a backseat to just about anything you can stick in an arena…
Obviously, this one is Philly’s fault.
Not sure about how game 4 works-I hope we don’t miss half of the game. I would lean towards something like they did last night with the Bruin’s game-where NESN carried the game locally and Verses just showed some other hockey related show for an hour.
last Years opener was also a matinee, lets do it again!
So, what’s the story with game 4? Will Versus show the whole game locally, or are we going to miss most of it as it’s joined in progress?
Crap two matinee games-the b’s suck at matinees.
My kid has a track meet on Saturday-hope I get home in time for the start-and my fingers are crossed that this time the B’s come out ahead in the series. The Flyers are a quality team and they have Pronger back who is a demon during the play offs (goal tending is still suspect though and the B’s need to capitalize).
