You vote: Bruin of the Week
A Game 7 win over Montreal and a Game 1 victory of Philadelphia have the Bruins on a roll after they dropped Game 6 early last week.
That means there have been a ton of superb individual performances for Boston players of late.
This week, though, I decided to keep the poll for Bruin of the Week tight. Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg is definitely a top candidate. He scored a goal in Game 6 and then recorded two assists in the win over the Flyers. For the week he was plus-5 with seven blocked shots.
There seems to be no stopping Nathan Horton in the postseason. The power forward scored the overtime game-winner in Game 7 and followed that up with a two-point night against Philly. He was plus-3 on the week.
With his combination of skill and sandpaper, Brad Marchand seems perfectly suited to taking on the Flyers. He recorded 2-1-3 totals in the series-opener after recording an assist in Game 7. For the week he was plus-5.
So I ask you, readers of TheBruinsBlog.net:
Who should be the Bruin of the Week?
- Nathan Horton (61%, 60 Votes)
- Brad Marchand (20%, 20 Votes)
- Dennis Seidenberg (19%, 19 Votes)
Total Voters: 99

Seindenberg has been excellent since being put with Chara again. I feel as though his confidence shot up a thousand percent the last half of the Montreal series, and he was awesome last night. Props also to a younger rising defenseman in Adam McQuaid, whose no quit pinch and puck battle made the game seven OT winner possible. Definitely a player to watch.
hope it’s always this tough picking b of the week here on out.
I voted Marchand although I think all three nominees have a good case although I still think Bergeron has been our play off warrior so far.
I totally agree that Marchand seems to be well suited for a game with the Flyers and he definitely seems to be effective at getting under Pronger’s skin.
This is a tough one. Horton has scored a couple of key goals, but hasn’t been as dominant as he was in the last 20-30 games of the regular season. It comes down to Marchand and Seidenberg – both have been terrific as of late. I’ll give the slight edge to Seidenberg, who has been effective in pinching in and creating tons of scoring chances for the Bruins. He’s also been a stud since pairing up with Chara.
