McQuaid to join Bruins on their victorious flight back home
PHILADELPHIA — Head coach Claude Julien had some pretty good news on Adam McQuaid after his team’s 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers tonight.
“He’s coming back with us, so that’s a good sign in itself,” said Julien about McQuaid, who fell awkwardly into the end boards late in the first period and was taken to Jefferson Hospital to be evaluated.
Julien had no further information on the rookie, who should be cheered up by his teammates, as the Bruins now lead the Eastern Conference semifinal series with Philadelphia, 2-0. The rest of the Bruins D corps picked up the slack and Tim Thomas bailed them out a ton with 52 saves in the win.
“That was not fun to see because those are the ones that are scary when a guy kind of gets tripped up on his own. So I hope he’s OK,” said defenseman Andrew Ference. “We have a lot of guys that know how to log minutes and play. You go right down the list of us, everybody’s played big minutes and handled games like that. So it was good. I think that we got stuck a couple times but were able to start ourselves up.”

Adam
I know you are tough as nails, get healthy and back at as soon as possible
Adding insult to injury was that he was going to whack that SOB Richards.
Here’s hoping that it’s nothing serious and he heals quickly. McQuaid has been really steady on D and his pinch lead to the OT winner in game 7 versus Montreal.
I wonder if Boris Valabik is with the Black Aces…. hahahahahahaha.
Seriously though… get better soon Quaider.
If McQuaid can’t play, Kampfer is ready to go isn’t he?
TSN calls him Lone Wolf. I still like that one better. I wonder which one he likes? Either way I hope he can get back in as soon as possible. The pack needs this Lone Wolf.
darth quaider’s mullet saved him. get better quick, kid. sheriff shane ain’t the answer anymore.
Let’s hope he can shake it off, the kid is tough.
Good to hear! May the force be with you, Darth Quaider!
