Carter in while McQuaid, Pronger out for Bruins-Flyers Game 3
BOSTON — As per the official game sheet, Jeff Carter will re-join the Philadelphia lineup tonight, while Chris Pronger will miss a second straight game and Adam McQuaid will sit out as well for Boston.
Neither McQuaid nor Pronger were on the ice for warm-ups for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series between Boston and Philadelphia. The Bruins lead the series, 2-0. Pronger missed Game 2 with an undisclosed injury, while McQuaid suffered a sprained neck in that contest.
Carter, who led the Flyers in goals during the regular season, has been out since Game 4 of the Flyers’ series with Buffalo.
“He’s a big-time goal-scorer. He skates the puck really well,” forward Scott Hartnell said about Carter this morning. “Defensively, he’s not a liability. When we get him back, whenever that is, it’ll be a big lift for us.”
Tim Thomas starts in net for Boston against Philadelphia’s Brian Boucher.
Here are the lines and D pairs for the two clubs as per warm-ups:
Lucic-Krejci-Horton
Marchand-Bergeron-Recchi
Kelly-Peverley-Ryder
Paille-Campbell-Thornton
Chara-Seidenberg
Kaberle-Hnidy
Ference-Boychuk
Versteeg-Richards-Carter
Hartnell-Briere-Leino
Van Riemsdyk-Giroux-Zherdev
Carcillo-Betts-Powe
Carle-Meszaros
Timonen-Coburn
O’Donnell-Syvret

Did Briere play? Did not hear his name much. Fourth line was in play tonight. Paille deserved that goal. Nice pass and nice shot with the audio off the post. Lucic’s best game of the playoffs. Too many others to mention.
Carter looks like Lance Bass. Played like him too.
