Photo gallery: Bruins fry Flyers for 3-0 series lead … again
BOSTON — The atmosphere at the TD Garden tonight felt as close to that of an elimination game as it could without the Bruins actually being on the cusp of advancing.
And now Friday night they can win their way to the third round for the first time since 1992.
The Bruins jumped out to a remarkable 2-0 lead in first 63 seconds and never looked back en route to a 5-1 win over Philadelphia in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series. TheĀ Garden was rocking, the Bruins were cruising to a 3-0 lead and the Flyers looked demoralized.

It always drives me nuts that between the press and the all anti bruins team at VS. it’s last year all over again. NO! they can talk as much as they want but the B’s could play Philly for the next 20 games and win 18 of them. philly is dead in the water between Their goalies and the fact that thomas has 21 skaters numbers is game set match. So talk all you want about 2010 go for it. this team doesn’t drink the same Koolaid and will silence the masses on Friday. But of course peter Laviolette is very pleased to be three games down because really there is “no” pressure on his team you know
There’s no way I want this going past four games. The Bolts have just swept the Caps 4-0, so they’ll be niiiiice and rested when we meet ‘em for the Eastern Finals if we don’t wrap it up on Friday.
That was a great showing by the Bruins and hopefully we can close out the Flyers in a max of 5 games. I definitely don’t want this going past 5 and if it does, I will start to get worried again.
