Bruins get in some ice time before it’s sweep time vs. Flyers
BOSTON — The Northeastern University graduation Friday will make the TD Garden unavailable to the Bruins, so they practiced today on their home ice in place of a morning skate before tomorrow’s Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series with Philadelphia.
Adam McQuaid (sprained neck) and Zdeno Chara (rest day) were the only players not on the ice for the Bruins, who were joined for the first time in the postseason by rookie Steven Kampfer (recovering from a knee injury).
The Bruins were exercising their minds as much as their legs, as they worked to get their attitudes ready for a potential closeout game tomorrow night.
“We’re feeling good, obviously,” said forward Nathan Horton. “It’s nice to be up three games. But the job’s not done yet. We all know that. It’s not over until it’s over and we’ve still got a lot of work in front of us.”
Yeah, I guess this concept is not so alien to you guys.
I’m thinking they will be running you like there’s no tomorrow. They attribute their comeback last year to the crippling hit Richards laid on Krejci last year. So either they will do it out of spite or trying to relive past glories.
RD, are you suggesting that the cheap shot Flyers would attempt to injure on purpose?!
I think the odds are you guys are going to sweep. Keep your heads up though. There will be at least one blatant head shot.
I’m calling it now.
Hmm Matt K didn’t you say the Flyers in six ? Just kidding bro I’m no better at predicting this years NHL playoffs outcome although I did pick the Bs at least :sarcasm:
Sweep! Sweep! Sweep!
Sort of a funny role reversal going on, the media is talking sweep and the fans are still uneasy about saying the series is over.
I don’t know if we want to get ahead of ourselves yet…
