You vote: Bruin of the Week
It’s a glorious time to play for the Bruins.
For the first time since 1992, the franchise is headed to the conference finals.
Obviously, it’s been a team effort so far. But there have been plenty of great individual performances, including some outstanding ones in the three wins that completed the sweep of Philadelphia last week.
After a quiet first round, David Krejci erupted in the second round against the Flyers. In last week’s three games he posted 2-3-5 totals, including the overtime game-winner in Game 2. He was plus-3 with five shots on net.
Dennis Seidenberg has been the Bruins’ ice time leader throughout these playoffs, and that didn’t change last week. In the overtime Game 2 win, he logged 36:44 of ice time. For the week he recorded one assist, a plus-6 rating and 10 blocked shots.
The first playoff run of Nathan Horton’s NHL career couldn’t have gone any better if he wrote it up as a fairy tale. He continued to produce points last week with four assists, including setting up Krejci’s Game 2 winner, and one goal. He was plus-4 with nine shots on net.
Captain Zdeno Chara has thrived on the sport’s biggest stage like he never had before. Last week, he recorded two goals, one assist and a plus-7 rating with 11 shots on net and seven blocked shots.
So I ask you, readers of TheBruinsBlog.net:

Lucic can be player of the game, but no way is he player of the week. He was invisible for the better part of it, and Krecji had how many points? Horton also had a better week than lucic. Hard to find a player that didn’t. That said, Really glad he’s back on the horse, and hoping he will be player of the week next time.
Gotta be Seidenberg. Guy has been a monster these playoffs. Doing so many little things so well.
it’s a team game and everyone played well in sweeping Phili. I would of chose Lucic because it’s so important that he is back on his game.
I would vote Tim Thomas here.
So hard to decide… LUCIC! 2 goals, 1 during PP. Oops, he’s not on the list… I voted for Chara but it was very hard…
Things are definitely going well when a goalie who stops 44 shots in a row can’t even crack the top 4 POW list.
I voted Krejci but Seidenberg was a very close second-only because he is having a tremendous play offs and a lot of the things he is doing don’t show up on the stat sheets.
Shoot everyone is deserving this week-I think all the players stepped it up in the Flyers series-now they all have to step it up another notch for Tampa-especially when looking at doing it without Bergeron.
