Soup’s on: Bruins’ Campbell expects to be better in Bergeron’s absence
Campbell somewhat fondly recalls his days of watching the postseason on television every spring. Now he’s a part of it for the first time and he’s accounted for his skills well. The Bruins will need even more of that if they’re to get past the Lightning and be the last team standing come mid-June.

I would have used a combination of Campbell and Seguin and left Kelly on the third line wing. Campbell is a versatile player that can fill the Bergeron slot short term. You don’t want to put Seguin on the fourth line duties, so I would move Campbell and Seguin in and out of that second line center spot as the situation dictated. It will be interesting to see how Claude’s plan works, he is a good coach and sees these guys everyday.
Didn’t Peverly play on the first or second line in Atlanta? I thought he might have been better suited with Marchant and Recchi since he can puckhandle
RD, I don’t think it’s a question about who’s better, but rather why break up a productive line versus not touching a line the plays 4 minutes a game.
Campbell’s not a 1st or 2nd line center and never will be. Kelly has the potential to fill the role temporarily so the Bruins are going with their best option at the moment.
Bernard, is this place kinda like your diary?
Honestly I expected Kelly or Peverley to replace Bergeron.
I suspect Campbell might get some wing duties though, if Seguin gets his minutes shortened (I figure Campbell or Paille).
I think Campbell has been one of the best surprises out of the whole Wideman trade. We kind of got about what we expected out of Horton (maybe not as many goals but I don’t think he turned out better or worse than expected), but Campbell as the throw in has turned out to be a great fourth liner and I think his work ethic and tenacity has really changed the look of the 4th line.
I admit a bias, but I think the Bruins probably have one of the, if not the best 4th line in the league.
I was thinking about the same thing jangles until someone, MK I think, brought up how messing w/ the 4th line screws with the PK a bit in regards to timing and forward pairings.
Ah,yea,…Bernard buddy…..
Agree Bo no need to mess with what works but we have to trust CJ to get us there.
GO BRUINS GO!!! ALL OF EM.
BG – I thought I was on this site too much.
Am I the only one surprised it was Kelly and not Campbell that is taking Bergy’s spot? Makes more sense to me to mess with line four and its 5-7 minutes, than break up a line 3 that was really performing.
Are there any Halifax dudes in the punch.? Over.

They bleed black & Gold too!.. Their rant is: God may the blacks win the tin!
They are expecting an inland beer tide as well, but I can not remember their Brand names. That say that the Bruins have the dressing room to bang it, but they are also scared of Boucher’s poise. There’s good beer is S.Africa. but avoid Soweto’s dough though. The subway is subpar annoyed at all cost.
