TAMPA — Much to my chagrin, Bruins forward Brad Marchand and TSN/VS/NBC “between the benches” analyst Pierre McGuire are not involved in any blood feud.
Many picked up on Marchand and McGuire exchanging words during the broadcast of Boston’s 2-0 win in last night’s Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final.
After the Bruins held an optional practice today at the St. Pete Times Forum to get ready for tomorrow night’s Game 4, Marchand laughed about the exchange.
“I said to him ‘what do I have to do to score?’” revealed the pesky Bruins winger.
McGuire’s response was along the lines of “Marchand, just keep playing hockey.”
Added Marchand: “No, I like Pierre.”
Well, there’s no accounting for taste.

I hate to say it but I miss Jack too and that scares me. But I don’t care who covers the game as long as we keep playing better than the opponet. Will be intresting though with a NBC 1:30 start how favored Tamapa will be.

Well I admit I am not amongst the Jack haters, and I have said over and over again when vs covers the Bruins how much I miss him.
At the very least I would prefer Brick on color-I think Brick is pretty knowledgeable, and does a nice job of toning Jack down. I think he does a nice job on color for VS the few games he did during the regular season, although I still don’t care for VS.
I wish Jack could do the rest of the games.
It’s obvious McGuire doesn’t like the Bs. Is it from his days with the Whalers? I have no idea but it’s very annoying to keep on hearing how amazing the other team’s players are. I’m sure his bed was wet throughout the 1st round the way he talked non stop about how fabulous PK Subban was.
Turn down the TV volume and listen to Dave Goucher and Bob Beers on the radio. They announced last night they’re broadcast has been picked up in several Canadian markets. So, it’s not just the U.S. based hockey fans that are tuning out the Versus crews.
Emrick is the best…..in the words of MC Hammer….you can’t touch this!!!! HA HA HAAAAAA Lucky bastard gets to call hockey games for a living…is there a better gig or what????

That Pierre is an annoying prick that overhears one team’s strategies then blurts them to the other team. I have heard him do this against the B’s…he should shut up or they should remove him if teams find him out!
Game 1 was tough, listening to McGuire go on and on about how Boucher “gets it.” I haven’t heard him since. But last night what was the deal with Keenan? It was like he had money riding on TB, he seemed so mad at times. Mad at Krejci for the elbow penalty. And esp mad at TB for what he called a lack of passion. Every time Keith Jones pointed out something the Bs did well, he’d say something to the effect of “well, it was more a matter of Tampa Bay letting them….”
The whole Versus coverage annoys me. Keenan and Roenick are brutal between periods
Well we think Pierre has lost his crush on JVR and now has a crush on Seguin. Peirre annoys me, although I have to agree last night he didn’t annoy me nearly as much.
Actually the whole versus crew didn’t annoy me as much. Maybe I have just grown used to the awfulness.
Maybe it’s because the B’s played so well or maybe Pierre got his meds right but he didn’t get on my nerves as much. Anyone who likes hockey has to agree the guy has passion. I like the up and coming Ray Ferraro between the benches and even the miserable Healy at times.
