Bruins say they’re fine day after three-goal Game 4 collapse
BOSTON — Concerns for the Bruins’ mental state today after they dropped Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final in Tampa yesterday are unfounded, according to them at least.
“We’re fine,” declared alternate captain Mark Recchi on an off day at the TD Garden, where Game 5 will be played tomorrow night. “It’s a best-of-three now. We went down there, we kept home ice, so we did the job we had to do and you take the loss like yesterday and you can’t worry about it. If you dwell on it, it’s just going to screw you up.”
Head coach Claude Julien offered a similar diagnosis for his team.
“We’re fine. I think it’s, this is what hockey’s all about,” said the coach. “It’s a tight series and we understand that we didn’t do a very good job from the second period on yesterday afternoon. And you have to think about what you need to do tomorrow to be able to bounce back. And that’s all we’re thinking about right now. You make corrections, you make adjustments, you do what you have to do. But when you’re this far into the playoffs, you certainly don’t let the mental part of the game get to you.”

Thanks. 3 hrs sleep and 3 hr flight.
Its “they’re” not “their”.
How about letting the mental part get to you more often coach? Like take a time out when the mental part gets to your players maybe?? How about pulling Timmy when his mental’s off? Can’t hurt, Can it??
Matt, please don’t show Rex for a while, my stomach gets upset at his sight. Ever notice how he glares at the coach everytime there’s a PP coming up? CJ, PC will not pay attention to what Rex has to say when you get your annual perf. review. Play your best guys, the hell with Rex period.
