Bergenheim’s status up in the air for Tampa Bay Game 6
TAMPA — The Lightning were stymied by Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final last night.
It didn’t help that Tampa Bay had to play without winger Sean Bergenheim for most of the night.
Bergenheim left the Bruins’ 3-1 win with an injury in the first period and did not return. One report said the winger, who has scored nine goals this postseason, suffered a Charley horse.
Today Tampa Bay head coach Guy Boucher had no update on Bergenheim’s status for tomorrow night’s Game 6 at the St. Pete Times Forum.
“If it was today, right now he wouldn’t be playing,” said Boucher today. “So we’ll see tomorrow. I’ll go to church, I think.”
Boucher was equally cryptic about Steve Downie’s status for Game 5 and the pesky winger played. It’s playoff time, so this is all you’re going to get, of course.
Bergenheim just six shifts for 4:19 of ice time. In the Bruins series, one goal, one assist through five games.

Save the good riddance for Downie.
I would line up to get Bergenheim on the Bs.
Highlight made it look like a groin. My bet is we don’t see him – Good Riddens
