BOSTON — Attention Bruins marketing department.
In light of the barrage of projectiles that were aimed at the Bruins by Tampa Bay fans after Wednesday night’s Game 6 loss at the St. Pete Times Forum, Milan Lucic has an idea for the TD Garden’s next giveaway.
“We were making jokes in here that we should probably have a hammer night sponsored by DeWalt and see what will happen,” said Lucic, after he was one of two Bruins to not take the morning skate in preparation for tonight’s Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final at the Garden.
While several Bruins players were hit by the thrown objects, Lucic said he dodged a couple before they hit him in the face. Linemate Nathan Horton famously responded to one fan’s verbal attack with a squirt and throw of a water bottle. The league took no public disciplinary action against Horton.
If the Bruins win Game 7, the Garden operations staff would undoubtedly do any promotion Lucic wants.
I love it that they were debating a giveaway night-Dewalt would be the perfect sponsor-just the right colors.
I hope the KHL line brings their game from Wednesday and the rest of the team shows up with their game game, because if they show up like they did in that last game winning is going to be tough if not impossible.
Lucic was in the house … good game but a loss…however I did notice the TB team salute the fans …means they won’t be back!!!!!
GO BRUINS GO!!! ALL OF EM.
Firearm Friday! Ammunition sold at beer vendors
You want chaos…give out souvenir pucks!
Hammer night, classic! I was thinking water bottle night. Squirt, then throw.
