Bruins’ Horton heard his critics, now he’s silenced them with clutch goals
Maybe the Bruins should be glad those pucks didn’t go in in December and January. It could be a case of Horton having plenty of scores saved up for the biggest moments of the year, like Game 7s. They might not have Game 7s in Florida, but they’ve had them in Boston and Nathan Horton has made sure they’ve become a joyous part of the franchise’s folklore.

As much as I like Horton and Lucic together, I can’t help but think having two lines with strong power forwards on them wouldn’t be nice. It will be interesting to see what the team does over the summer as far as trades are concerned and just what role Horton and Lucic have next year-this year in the play offs at least the KHL line has been productive and i suspect Lucic is going to be a beast since in some ways all games are home games for him and this will only help Horton and Krejci be better.
When that trade went down, I honestly knew next to nothing. High Pick – can skate a little, broad shoulders – nice wrister if he can find the space to use it – possible 40 goal scorer – possible Glen Murray.
During that drought I started buying into the rumors and started fearing he was the type to feel sorry for himself.
I couldn’t have been wrong. He’s been a lot of fun to watch and root for, and he seems to me like a really determined gritty gamer with some real skill. More than any goal he has scored, I think I’ll remember that sweet backhand dish to Lucic for his breakaway score in Game 4 against Philly. Gotta wonder how next year will go now that this is finally his team and he’s settled in.
Wonder if he might look good with Seguin in a couple, three years.
more ho ho, please.
I think the move for Horton and Campbell for Wideman and picks was a good move.
Maybe the production during the regular season wasn’t so great, but for a while there he seemed more snake bit than anything-how many posts did he hit? He has been clutch in the play offs and I think the addition of Campbell to the 4th line and PK has made his part of the deal worth it.
Last June I thought that PC made a good move. If you look at what the guy can do. No matter what people say Hortons don’t grow on trees. Skate. Shoot. Fight. Pass.Hit. Protect the puck. Score big goals. Durable.
We can’t say that he was going to be such a big game player because we didn’t know.
Let’s hope he’s got the biggest possible goal left in him. That would be something legends are made of.
Horton
Hears, Uh, You?
