I bet you thought I forgot about this week’s poll.
Well I kind of did in, as I was caught up in all the excitement of the upcoming Stanley Cup Final against Vancouver and a little bit of between-series rest.
Nonetheless, three Bruins stood out above all others last week, as the Bruins went 2-1 against Tampa Bay to clinch the Eastern Conference title.
Nathan Horton, obviously, will go down in Bruins’ history regardless of how this upcoming series with the Canucks plays out. His Game 7 goal beat the Lightning for his second Game 7 winner of the playoffs. He finished the week with 2-2-4 totals, a plus-3 rating and 11 shots on net.
Horton wouldn’t have scored were it not for the deft passing of David Krejci. The center not only set up the game-winner but also added another assist and three goals over the course of the week. He was a plus-3 with nine shots on goal.
It’s not easy to quantify what Dennis Seidenberg has meant to the Bruins, but during a point-less week he averaged around 28 minutes per game, blocked 13 shots (eight in Game 7) and was a plus-3. He threw five shots on goal as well.
So after a historic week in Bruins history, I ask you:
Who should be the Bruin of the Week?
- Dennis Seidenberg (39%, 68 Votes)
- David Krejci (34%, 59 Votes)
- Nathan Horton (27%, 46 Votes)
Total Voters: 173

It does gonna be a great battle when these two great teams clash. I can’t wait to watch it. This is gonna be an exciting game.
The hat trick did it for me,watch the K man come up big for us.
JPT nice to see you back from the golf course don’t you have a riot to attend somewhere in Montreal….
As for the “lapper” expect everthing he learned as a HAB to show up on the ice….I wonder how the Van fans feel about him bringing his Hab crap to THEIR party????
GO BRUINS GO!!! ALL OF EM.
Seidenberg was stellar from start to finish. He appeared mentally in control and was reading the ice perfectly. I pulled the lever for him.
This is a great site, with great posters. Love you Boys – always putting the trolls in their place while keeping it above board, and keepin’ it real!!
oh my god JPT– GIVE IT UP!!! anyway… i had to vote for Horton. we were going crazy when he scored the game 7 winner!!!
Here is one paper’s description of former Canadiens Lapierre:
“Two years ago as a member of the Canadiens, Lapierre reacted to an empty-net goal by Phil Kessel in the firstround series opener by charging at him in the corner boards. It set off a wild scrum and Lapierre had his hands full with Milan Lucic as both received roughing minors and misconducts.”
“Lapierre arrived in Vancouver at the trade deadline with a bad rap of being a diver and a yapper”
Biased, anti-Habs paper maybe? How about the Montreal Gazzette?

Eugene Philip Trembling – would you like a little cheese to go with that wine. Maybe your little Pansie Smurf habs should join the KHL or Swedish Elite if you don’t like the physical part of the game. Oh, sorry,I guess they hit once in a while too, how about the Canadian Womens Hockey Program.
All the Mtl. players are in hollywood working on their acting. If they get a little more refined on their soccer falls, they might fool a ref when it counts.
George- Truth, brother!
JPT- Too bad Mike Murphy handles all of the disciplinarian stuff for the Bruins. Colie doesn’t touch it. And no, Colie isn’t Murphy’s boss. Why are you such a sourpuss on here, anyway?
Love you, George. Just Awesome!
It looks like a photo finish. Maybe the hardest poll of the year. Nice handicapping.
Its really amazing to me how different MTL fans are from Boston fans. In Boston no matter what our team does we find something to be mad at them for. MTL fans are mad at other teams no matter what their own team does.
I would vote for you, JPT. Ten times if I could.
Honestly Steve, by far the MVP of the Bruins in the playoffs and the regular season has been Gregorgy Campbell. With his daddy occupying the head job for discipline in the NHL, the Bruins do not have to worry about any suspensions at all. So Chara can try to literally kill any player he wants, Horton can throw objects at fans, Lucic can crosscheck people in the face and attack players when games are out of reach and not have to worry about a thing. And these 3 are just the tip of the iceberg.
So my MVP vote goes to Campbell. Thanks for asking and respecting my thoughts Steve. Who would you vote for.
I know you are going to read this and think of something douchey to say, JPT, so which Bruin do you think deserves this honor?
Seidenberg edges out Horton for having to co-defend against one of the most successful top lines in the NHL this season, and shutting them out completely 2 games out of 7. I think he’s playing more minutes than Chara is. How much did the Bruins miss him last year?
Gotta show Davey some love this week. First playoff hatty for the B’s in how many years?
