I bet you thought I forgot about this week’s poll.
Well I kind of did in, as I was caught up in all the excitement of the upcoming Stanley Cup Final against Vancouver and a little bit of between-series rest.
Nonetheless, three Bruins stood out above all others last week, as the Bruins went 2-1 against Tampa Bay to clinch the Eastern Conference title.
Nathan Horton, obviously, will go down in Bruins’ history regardless of how this upcoming series with the Canucks plays out. His Game 7 goal beat the Lightning for his second Game 7 winner of the playoffs. He finished the week with 2-2-4 totals, a plus-3 rating and 11 shots on net.
Horton wouldn’t have scored were it not for the deft passing of David Krejci. The center not only set up the game-winner but also added another assist and three goals over the course of the week. He was a plus-3 with nine shots on goal.
It’s not easy to quantify what Dennis Seidenberg has meant to the Bruins, but during a point-less week he averaged around 28 minutes per game, blocked 13 shots (eight in Game 7) and was a plus-3. He threw five shots on goal as well.
So after a historic week in Bruins history, I ask you:
Who should be the Bruin of the Week?
- Dennis Seidenberg (39%, 68 Votes)
- David Krejci (34%, 59 Votes)
- Nathan Horton (27%, 46 Votes)
