VANCOUVER — The Bruins lost Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final to Tampa Bay and dropped the first two games of their first-round series to Montreal.
So a 1-0 series deficit against Vancouver in the Stanley Cup Final really isn’t that big of a deal.
“We’ve had it a couple times. So it is what it is,” said forward Mark Recchi today on the first of two off days before Saturday’s Game 2. “We know we can be better and we know we’re facing a good hockey team. But we’ve got a lot of things that we can improve on and we know that. And we’ve been good at responding in these situations. And I wouldn’t expect anything less from our group.”
The Bruins lost Game 1, 1-0, Wednesday night.
“Obviously you never want to be down in the series. … We know we can bounce back,” added center Patrice Bergeron. “We came out on the winning side in both those series. We have to stay positive and confident that we can do it.
“At the same time we have to find a way, like I said, of getting back in the series.”

It will come home steamer. Right in Cam’s Office. But I would disagree with your assessment. we forgot there are 20 minutes in the 3rd period.
Bruins almost played the perfect away game. However they forgot one thing…. there are 3 periods in a hockey game. As a canuck fan, if this is your best , this will be short series. We still love Lucic and he should be better utilized on your power play. Here’s to one city getting rid of memories of 40 years with no cup. Sorry Beantowners the cup cometh home.

Well I am pretty sure the B’s don’t want to go down 2-0 so they better bring it hard on Saturday-the Canucks are a good team. I think the B’s are going to have to work hard to steal a game.
