Another regular skate for Bruins on AM of Game 4
BOSTON — There was nothing out of the ordinary at the Bruins’ morning skate today except for the absence of Nathan Horton’s ever-present smile.
The Bruins, of course, will be without the forward’s services due to a severe concussion starting with tonight’s Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final at the TD Garden against Vancouver.
Mark Recchi took the option not skate as he’s done more often than not, while rookie Jordan Caron took the morning skate in an effort to stay sharp in case more injury befalls the Bruins. Head coach Claude Julien said after the skate that Caron would also skate in the warm-up tonight.
The Canucks should change their name to the Turtles. Haven’t seen a bigger bunch of cowards since the Montreal Divers in the first round. Oh, and can McGuire’s comments be any more biased against Boston?
Stay physical Bruins, especially with the Sedin sisters. The turn into wet noodles when you take away their space. They operate best when they have room to skate, ala the power play.
Also, keep taking it to Kesler. The dude looks hurt. Don’t waste your time and energy with playing pattycake with Max Lapierre. The dude is a punk that won’t answer your challenges.
Steamer,
Big strong physical teams (which the bruins are) do not need to clutch, grab, hook, etc. That is what less physical teams (read: Canucks) need to do.
Playing Bruins hockey means playing physical, playing sound defense, good goaltending, rolling 4 solid lines, and getting timely scoring. Anyone who has watched this series should be able to tell the Canucks have been the team playing more on/over the edge, so I don’t know where all this talk of bruins chippy play comes from, oh wait, yes I do, Homerism.
James, now that’s funny. I think you mean the big, bad canucks crap. Keep up the humor. The career minor leaguer (Rome, I think) turned the entire complexion of the series around. You will regret what happened the rest of the Summer.
Keep up the funny one-liners, though!
James,
Can you explain Bruins hockey… Was that Game 1,2 or 3… Canucks fans are having a hard time figuring out what that is. My guess you would say Game 3. Clutching Grabbing and stickwork and ruckus will be called tonight…. Better alter your game plan. Both teams will be on a short leash which will allow the canucks to play their game and not the Big Bad Bruins crap we have seen this series.
they scored 6 more goals than they needed last game, all without horton on the ice. horton will be missed, but there’s still enough talent to take this to the cup. play with heart. let’s go bruins!
stay on fire, rex. your line needs to lead the way.
Lets go Bruins! Play Bruins hockey again tonight! Play for Horton!
