BOSTON — It’s the vision no Bruins fan wants to see Monday night at TD Garden.
Alex Burrows passing the Stanley Cup to Maxim Lapierre, Lapierre passing it to Aaron Rome, and so on.
It could happen if Vancouver prevails in Game 6 to close out the Stanley Cup Final.
Some of the most hated players to ever oppose the Bruins on the sport’s biggest stage could use the Bruins’ home ice as a party site, and there’d be anyone could do to prevent it.
At least publicly, Burrows says he isn’t licking his chops thinking about answering the Boston heckles with a hoist of the Cup.
“I don’t know. That’s not my mindset, to rub it in anybody’s face,” he said today after the Canucks practiced. “I just want to get the job done tomorrow, get focused and get ready and for the game.”

I don’t even want to think about Vancouver winning the cup in Boston!!
My dad who is as old school as they get can’t understand how people want to see these over the top celebrations. Especially after goals, TDs etc. He said he never paid to see a guy run around like he just won the lottery. It’s the competition and the drama that creates what is the best of sports.
I mean he’s right. I want to see great plays by gifted athletes. I expect the Boston fans to lose with grace or win with it. I may expect too much but like they say “there’s no such thing as losing, that it is only an earlier attempt at success”. If they don’t reach the top I’ll be thinking about the fine run of the Eastern Conference CHAMPIONS.
This will be the ultimate test for Boston. If Vancouver does hoist the cup in their town, will they show some class, or will they react as Steve suggests they should?
I’ll say this, if they Stanley cup champs are peppered by ANYTHING in either city, I doubt either group of fans should mention anything about class ever again.
Montreal lost the cup on home ice in 1989. We had 115 points (back before you got a point for OTL) that season but it still wasn’t enough to beat the flames.
We gave the champs an ovation worthy of the Stanley cup champs. It was the only time the Stanley cup was surrendered on Montreal ice.
If you lose, how do you want Boston to be remembered? Bush league bottle throwing like Tampa?

He won’t get the chance. The Bruins will continue their dominance at home against Vancouver. Then, the Canucks’ luck runs out Wednesday night.
Just the thought of those clowns touching the cup in Boston makes me sick
Burrows is a POS. Instead of the possibility of winning the Cup, he should really think about his performances that would have him bring home a couple of Academy Awards for acting and an Olympic gold medal for diving. What a puke.
Burrows sucks. I’d like to see him get peppered with blunt objects should he raise the cup in Boston.
Burrows is awesome! #bringithome
