VANCOUVER — I can’t believe I even have to post this, but considering what one major Canadian media entity has been reporting since last night, you have to do what you have to do.

Yesterday Bruins head coach Claude Julien mentioned that if the doctors would let him play that Nathan Horton would suit up for tonight’s Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final at Rogers Arena. He meant that phrase just to show how dedicated the concussed Bruins forward is.

Over the hours after that statement, Rogers Sportsnet began to report that Horton was begging the team to let him play. When a question was brought up to Julien about that speculation today, he shot down the notion in a hurry.

“Let me cut your question short. Absolutely no. It’s ridiculous. So let’s put an end to that,” said the coach.

Horton is on hand in Vancouver to help inspire his teammates. But you can end your dreams of him being a Game 7 hero for the third time these playoffs.
