Without Horton, Bruins will need another Game 7 hero

VANCOUVER — Despite rumors to the contrary, Bruins forward Nathan Horton did not take the warm-up with the club tonight before Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final at Rogers Arena.

The usual 23 skaters took their twirl and went through line drills, with Horton relegated to off-ice motivational tactics. Horton, of course, was the Game 7 hero in the Montreal and Tampa Bay series.

“Obviously he’s been our main guy throughout these playoffs. So in order for us to win we have to have someone else be the guy for us,” said forward Daniel Paille this morning.

The Bruins will try to win one more for “Horty.”

Here are the lines and D pairs as per the last warm-up of the season:

Lucic-Krejci-Peverely

Marchand-Bergeron-Recchi

Ryder-Kelly-Seguin

Paille-Campbell-Thornton

Chara-Seidenberg

Kaberle-McQuaid

Ference-Boychuk
