Route, time set for Bruins’ ‘rolling rally’ parade Saturday
Here’s the official word from the Bruins about the “rolling rally” parade route and start time:
The “rolling rally” parade will begin at the TD Garden on Saturday, June 18, at 11:00 a.m and end at Copley Square.
The rally will feature duck boats and will proceed along the following route:
- Causeway Street
- Left on Staniford Street
- Left on Cambridge Street
- Right on Tremont Street
- Right on Boylston Street
- End at Dartmouth Street
I think that a big RH clapper – say James Wisniewski’s -would look great on our PP. He plays with a bit of an edge as well. It won’t happen, he probably wants somewhere around 4.5-5M/year, but we could really use another big/effective RH shot from the back end, especially on the PP. Speaking of PP, damn do we ever miss Savvy operating on the right half wall, opening up those cross ice passes. Can’t wait to see how the offseason moves shake out.
I have a strong feeling we’ll be resigning Kaberle for a reduced rate, and it sure seems like Savvy’s going to retire.
MCK,
I agree with what you have stated, except I see signing ryder to a year at a reduced rate, unless we sign a guy like Jagr or Gange.
My prediction:
-Savard retires, or at least takes another year off
-No re-sign Ryder or Kaberle
-Sign a top 4 defenseman
-pocket cash for the deadline
There is no need to spend to the cap’s edge to begin the season. Not with the way it is already constructed. Seguin must improve, Caron must play and be effective.
I was listening to NHL station on XM the past few days and was a bit disapointed to hear that ticket prices will probably go up. Chia stated that the Bruins would not be involved in any major free agents. With Kaberle and Ryder off the books, the salary cap increasing and Recchi leaving I had tought we might get a good player coming our way. Is Savard coming back next year? If he comes back healthy it might be a good thing. I hope he does best for his well being. Is it a sign we will resign ryder or kaberle? I could see signing Ryder at a reduced salarybut kaberle absolutely not. Marchand will be getting a raise, how much I have no idea.
Jeff, probably no unless you are in a part of the country that picks up new england feeds. Nova-Scotia probably picks up mass/NH/maine affiliates…
Oh and Jeff, stop hating yourself. The vast majority of Canadians don’t riot.
Jeff http://boston.cbslocal.com/ will stream it online
Jeff, I know that last year the NHL Network carried it from Chicago. Don’t know about about this year, but it may be good place to look.
Will this be on TV in canada anywhere? I’m a huge Bruins fan, but can’t make the parade.
