Hamilton, KoKo highlight roster for Bruins’ fifth development camp
Bruins 2011 first-round pick Dougie Hamilton and second-round pick Alexander Khokhlachev — aka KoKo — highlight the 24-player lineup for the club’s development camp which will be held at the Ristuccia Arena practice facility July 7-11.
Here’s a look at the complete roster, as released by the team today:
Forwards
Anthony Camara, Craig Cunningham, Alexander Fallstrom, Brian Ferlin, Justin Florek, Josh Jooris, Jared Knight, Alexander Khokhlachev, Brett Olson, Tyler Randell, Eric Robinson, Ben Sexton, Ryan Spooner
Defensemen
Ryan Button, Marc Cantin, Tommy Cross, Dougie Hamilton, Robby O’Gara, Steven Spinell, Zach Trotman, David Warsofsky
Goaltenders
Zane Gothberg, Mike Hutchinson, Lars Volden

David – both McQuaid and Boychuk were trades – masterful trades mind you.
Second round picks have been a blessing to this team. I don’t think you could ask for a guy with a better work ethic than Bergeron-and he still hasn’t hit his prime.
Man, I forgot about Warsofsky. It’ll be interesting to see what he does in his first camp. You have to like what he’s done @ BU and 3 points in 10 games w/ the P-Bruins last year is promising. Needs to get bigger though.
Dale,
Can’t forget Krejci and Marchand also from the 2nd round. Or Darth Quaider in the 5th(?) or Boychuck as another late round pick!
Unfortunately Hamill has been a bust, but Boston has done much better job scouting lately. Remember we took Bergeron and Lucic in the second round and they’ve turned out pretty good. Taking Bergeron in the second round must be especially annoying to Montreal. They had two picks before the B’s took Bergeron. By the way our first pick, that year, was Mark Stuart and I always thought he was a good player.
A fan’s B’s music vid (old theme song)…

Bo or Jangles, if you prefer, why don’t you get in a car or hop on a plane and get to B’s Dev Camp like I’m doing?…I live in Toronto, so I might hitch a ride with big Dougie but I will definitely be there…See you there, Matty K.!
Bo,
I tried to match your sarcasm with some of my own I have seen you here enough to know you are quite familiar with the roster. Totally agree with your thoughts on Hamill, as well as anyone who thinks they need to find a way to get rid of him for whatever they can get in return. Maybe a change of scenery would do him well.
hope camara gets rambunctious.
Hamill’s an RFA, if I’m not mistaken. Wouldn’t be surprised if they dealt his rights or made a ‘sign & trade’-type deal.
Talk about a head scratcher in ’07.
The Hamill bust is more frustrating because they picked him ten spots higher than most had him rated. Some genius wanted to show that hundreds of scouts are wrong. Well done.
George – I know who he is… my point is simply, with what’s now in line in the minors and with a few of the guys in Providence… who give’s a hoot ’bout Hamill. Poor kid has really plummeted down the chart. For all his hard work – we owe him a trade to a club in need of a soft and slow centerman who is only built physically for the top two lines, but who’s perhaps too short on skill to fill that niche. I wonder how many of those teams are out there….
Bo, Hamill was the guy picked one spot before Logan Couture in the 2007 draft
Trade Hamill for a bag of pucks! Even the Leafs didn’t want him and that’s pretty bad!
Who’s Hamill?
Brad-
Yes, the original deal was for rookie games to be played on LI this season. We’ll see if that holds up.
MK
Any way to sneak Hamill into that camp for some extra work?
I believe they are doing the rookie games again (I think it is away at the Islanders this year, not positive though). I’m looking forward to seeing Spooner and Knight in particular.
Coach – you cats are so lucky you can check this stuff out live and in person. Far far removed out here. Drooling to hear reports about how Koko looks with Spoons and Knight, and of course… someone please tell me what a fluid and powerful skater Hamilton is. If he has the capacity to skate it out of his end… OMG!
you mean carone lol
Will they have the Rookie games again this year? That was fantastic last year, 5 or 10 bucks to see Spooooner score a hat trick.
