me and Pouliot down by the schoolyard
History says it won’t pan out, but I won’t argue with Chiarelli and his scouts playing a hunch. His record is a good one, and its only $1 for 1 year.
I think its funny to read JPT complaining about him not staying on his skates – for the love of god, that’s the Habs entire offensive strategy. Maybe its the very fact that he’s no good at diving that will lead to his success with a spoked B.
We turned Horton around! Who’s to say we can’t catch lighting in a bottle twice?
Thumbs up… ’cause I’ll be happy to see him ruin the Bruins offense!!!!
I’d take (back) Ryder over Pouliot anytime. Pouliot is soooooooooooooooooooo not a Bruin… I really don’t understand why the Bruins would hire him. That being said, it’s great for us, here in Montreal.
Good riddance!
Surprised the Bruins would go for this guy but even more surprised Pouliot would want to go for Boston and I think that says it all about his charactor. I think after last year, no real Hab would want to become a Bruin and no real Bruin would want to become a Hab. Pouliot has no heart. He can’t stay on his feet and last year when Pac was cheapshoted, the Habs gave Pouliot his chance on the first 2 lines. He was a monumental flop. The only time I really like the guy last year was when he knocked out Krejki. I don’ t see him fitting into the Bruins locker room.
I gave a thumbs down because of a strong distaste for Pouloit. I was closer to neutral because of the terms of the contract and the potential upside. In all other aspects of the deal a thumbs up, but my distaste is great enough to give this a slight thumbs down.
I had a hard time choosing.
I think this has potential to be a huge thumbs up, but I really don’t care for the player even if he did come cheap.
I didn’t think about the Habs killer angle-and I can actually see Chia thinking along those lines-and for the price it is a pretty cheap risk to take.
thumbs down…but it may work out just fine
I think Peter signed him in the spirit that he becomes a habs killer like Micheal Ryder was. Don`t forget that Micheal left Montreal after being in the dog house with the coach. This is the same situation with Benoit. He is a top 5 draft pick of his entry year, but never lived up to his potential. This may be the speculative pick for the B`s. A s a die heard B`s fan living in Montreal, I watched him play often. I think this maybe a question of his environment. He will need to be more disciplined. Claude will fix that.
That price, that term, for a young guy who was a fourth overall pick? I think it’s a low risk proposition with good upside potential.
