Winning the Stanley Cup brings its privileges.
In Adam McQuaid’s case, it brought the opportunity to hob nob with royalty.
Yesterday, the Bruins defenseman participated in a dragon boat race back in his native Prince Edward Island. What made this race special was that on one boat Prince William was assisting in the paddling, while on the other boat his wife Kate Middleton was doing the same.
While McQuaid was in the boat that lost the race, he told The Guardian:
“Even though I lost the race, some people might argue I won because I got to be in her boat.”
Here are a couple videos of the proceedings. If you can tear your eyes away from admiring Kate, you can catch a glimpse or two of McQuaid’s mullet sticking out among the rest of the rowers:

Getzlaffe is a good comparison. Too bad he didn’t get Major Hewitt genes like….
Prince William looks like Ryan Getzlaf from afar… hair and all.
lucky bastard
Darth Quaider is indeed a monster and easy to pick out of a crowd.
