Hockey Prospectus is out with its ranking of all 30 NHL teams’ prospects.
And there’s good news for the Bruins.
HP prospects expert Corey Pronman ranks the Bruins seventh, while writing:
The last two drafts may help define Boston’s future core for many years to come as 2010 second-round picks Jared Knight and Ryan Spooner have looked terrific, and being able to get Alexander Khokhlachev with Dougie Hamilton in the 2011 draft was a complete theft. The Bruins have a very deep system and a fair amount of talent at both skater positions.
The Detroit Red Wings are ranked No. 1. Checking in at No. 30 is San Jose.

David- thanks for the heads up. I went to the link but didn’t continue on. That’s a great read and substantive, too. That’s just the type of write up I was looking for on the B’s prospects. Great news. I guess Kampfer wasn’t included because he “graduated” last year but I’m curious about scouts projections for him.

From the article MattK cites, there is a link to an article addressing top bruins prospects and gives a blurb about each of the top 10.
I’ll be curious to see if Ryan Spooner or Jared Knight can make the big club coming out of training camp. Both Spooner and Knight have only Jordan Caron and Pouliot ahead of them on the depth charts. Another season in the OHL isn’t going to do that much for their development.
I’m guessing their ranking doesn’t count Seguin, as he’s not technically a prospect, since he spent a full year in the NHL. Seventh without counting your best prospect is pretty darn good. Gonna be a great couple of years for the Bs
Good news. I hope the Bruins can put together several Cup years in the next decade. If for no other reason than to stick it to the Montreal Divers….
