Former PC standout MacKinnon’s sticking around with P-Bruins
Every American Hockey League team loves to fill in the outskirts of its lineup with a player or two with local ties.
Today the Bruins’ Providence (AHL) farm club moved to do that by re-signing center Kyle MacKinnon to an AHL deal.
MacKinnon,23, was a four-year standout at Providence College before he joined the P-Bruins for five games at the end of last season. He scored 23 points (14 goals) in 34 games for the Friars as a senior, and then put up 1-2-3 totals for the P-Bruins.
A 5-foot-11 pivot, MacKinnon should provide the P-Bruins with added depth at center. You can never be too strong down the middle.

Let’s hope, he can or anyone else thyey have this year, can score….the past couple of years we seem to lack that guy here who can bury the puck with any frequency.
