Once again adhering to the concept that you can never have too much depth, the Bruins have invited a rugged veteran forward to join them for training camp on a tryout basis.
Center Chris Clark, who has been in the league since 1999-2000, will battle for a spot on the defending Stanley Cup champions’ roster, according to multiple sources citing Clark’s agent Peter Fish.
Clark, a 35-year-old warrior-type player, skated in 53 games last season for Columbus and posted 5-10-15 totals. He also played for Washington and Calgary. He’s expected to provide competition for both the veterans and rookies hoping to contend for a bottom-six forward spot.
