No words blogged here could begin to describe how tragic the events of today in Russia were, with at least 43 people from the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv KHL team killed in a plane crash.

That Brad McCrimmon, the team’s coach, once played for the Bruins makes his name a little more familiar to Bostonians than those of some of the other victims. Pavol Demitra, Ruslan Salei and a couple others were longtime opponents of the Bruins. But all 43 lives were equally important and should all be remembered as having been taken from the world far too soon.
