WILMINGTON, Mass. — Bruins captain Zdeno Chara returned to the ice today for the first time since taking a shot off the inside of his left leg in practice Monday.
However, Joe Corvo did not skate at Ristuccia Arena and David Krejci left the ice early during his session. None of those three players were scheduled to play in the Bruins’ preseason game in Ottawa anyway.
Both Corvo and Krejci felt tightness in their groin, according to head coach Claude Julien. Corvo was pulled out of Tuesday night’s scrimmage early with his tightness, while Krejci was sent off the ice early during practice today. Julien said both were just normal early-camp ailments.
