Bruins’ Kampfer suffered a sprained MCL

Kampfer/By S. Bradley
The Bruins announced tonight the results of defenseman Steven Kampfer’s MRI.
Kampfer suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee and is expected to miss two to four weeks. That leaves Matt Bartkowski as the Bruins’ seventh defenseman.
Good news for sure! Here’s to a speedy recovery #47.
It’s a plus that it isn’t torn, however, it still sucks to see it happen to him. Steven Kampfer evidently has been very motivated to get that 7th D spot, and he has looked pretty good throughout the preseason.
Good luck rehabbing. I’m sure you’ll get your shot some point this season.
Definately good news – No need to rush back! Make sure it’s strong, flexible and ready to go – there’s still a place for you on the Bs.
Good news that there is no tear. Go get’em Matt!
