Bruins fall to Avs/By S. Bradley
BOSTON — Bruins head coach Claude Julien was none too pleased with his team’s lackluster performance today at TD Garden.
The result was a 1-0 loss to goaltender Semyon Varlamov and the Colorado Avalanche at TD Garden.
Varlamov finished with 30 saves and Milan Hejduk scored the game’s lone goal at 7:57 of the third period.
Here’s my game story from NHL.com.

MCK, did you guys get the Monday off for Columbus day? As far as I know, Columbus day isn’t a real holiday. The only people who got the Monday off were government employees who are generally on holidays anyway.
So considering it wasn’t a real holiday, what exactly was your point MCK. (I wouldn’t be giving you a hard time if you hadn’t answered like a complete douche)
At the very least, the goalies were fun to watch
its a holiday here. duh
Were the patriots playing tonight? Maybe there was a conflict with the celtics when they came up with the schedule months ago.
All I know is afternoon games mean they are afraid of going head to head with something on during prime time.
I don’t know why the Bruins insist on playing these afternoon games. They never ever show up and Tuukka always gets these damn starts. So just like last season, his great play goes by the wayside because the 18 dogs in front of him don’t want to wake up. 1-0 to the Colorado Avalanche! Give me a break! They are one of the worst teams in the league but in a matinee game vs Boston they look like they are the defending champions. It makes me sick!
