No doubt the Bruins players who reported to TD Garden Sunday for a lengthy video session could tell you that none of them deserve to be the Bruin of the Week after an 0-2-0 week against Montreal.

Nonetheless, we still have to look for a silver lining or three in the storm clouds hovering above the Bruins right now.

He didn’t assert himself for all of the Bruins’ six periods this week, but Tyler Seguin did show flashes with a goal and seven shots on goal against the Canadiens.

Tuukka Rask made his first start in more than a week and had one of the best games a goaltender can have and still allow three goals. Rask kept the Bruins in their second loss to the Canadiens with 23 saves on 26 shots and made a big-time poke check on Max Pacioretty’s breakaway.

One of the Bruins you can always count on for a 100-percent effort is center Patrice Bergeron, who just looks silly right now working so hard while many of his teammates slack off. Bergeron recorded an assist in Montreal and was credit with the goal that Tomas Plekanec shot into his own net in Boston. The Bruins center also won 50 percent (23 of 46) of his faceoffs.

So I ask you readers of
