WILMINGTON, Mass. — We won’t know if the Bruins have learned anything over the last two days since their defeat in Montreal Saturday until around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
But at least what they learned during their lengthy video session Sunday seemed to carry over to practice today at Ristuccia Arena.
“It was a good, hard-working practice,” said Julien after the session. “I think we touched on some of the things that we want to get better at. And that’s practice and now it’s important to put it into play. Tomorrow night’s our opportunity to get better and give ourselves a chance to win some games by doing the right things.”
The Bruins, who host Ottawa tomorrow, kept together their same lines and D pairs from the end of the Montreal loss, but tweaked their power play with Patrice Bergeron moving back to the point today in practice. Bergeron was joined by Joe Corvo. Up front was Brad Marchand, Rich Peverley and Tyler Seguin. The other power-play quintet consisted of Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg on the points with the line of David Krejci, Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton up front.

Bojangles
I’d like to tell you he never misses the net, but that wouldn’t be true. I just haven’t seen that much with the PP and the combination of Bergeron and Boychuk, late in the playoffs, seem to work fairly well.
B16 – Man, we see two different players on the back end. I’m actually glad to read such positive comments about Boychuk, b/c it helps me think maybe I’m missing something. He’s got a rocket – no doubt – I just don’t think he has any idea where the hell its going. I’ll give it another close look.
Interesting write up on Thomas in the Montreal Gazette:

Glad to see the CJ is keeping Seguin on the PP and showing his confidence in him. Tyler has been the B’s most consistent player this year and it is great to see that things are clicking for him. Anyone else notice that he isn’t just leading the team in points but also in +/- with a +7? IMO, that speaks volumes about his overall game. Now if only DK46 can get healthy…
Go Bs.
George,
You may be right, thanks to Toronto, he’s gotten used to picking awfully early in the draft!
I think this bad play is an elaborate scheme to get the best chance to win the draft lottery. Yakupov has 32 points in 16 games so far this season.
Glad to see Bergeron back on the PP point. He is a good passer and sees the whole ice area, but I would have liked to see Boychuk on with him. Boychuk shot is usually low and he gets rid of it in a hurry. Players don’t mind going to the front of the net, if the shot is usually low.
