BOSTON — The Bruins and New York Islanders are going to turn to goaltenders who’ve been inactive lately tonight when they meet at the TD Garden.

Tuukka Rask will start for the Bruins, who have won two in a row behind the play of Tim Thomas.

Bruins head coach Claude Julien is hoping that his team plays better than it has in the past in front of Rask, and that the Bruins can make up for the loss of Rich Peverley. The forward is out with an undisclosed injury. Benoit Pouliot, who hasn’t dressed for the Bruins’ last three games, should be in the lineup for Boston in place of Peverley.

Rick DiPietro started the previous three Islanders games, including Saturday night’s comeback win over Washington, but New York head coach Jack Capuano has decided to turn back to Nabokov.
