Providence Bruins update: Hamill hot for inconsistent P-Bruins

Hamill
Well, at least Zach Hamill seems to be coming along in his fourth pro season.
Typically a slow starter, the Bruins’ 2007 first-round draft pick has totaled a team-high 10 points (including a team-high five goals) through the Providence Bruins’ first 14 games.
The Bruins’ AHL farm club has been terribly inconsistent this season, but sits second in the Atlantic Division as of Tuesday morning with a 6-7-1-0 record. The P-Bruins’ 13 points put them eight back of first-place St. John’s. And not to rain on Providence’s parade, but Worcester sits in fourth with 10 points and six games in hand.
Providence is tied for the most goals allowed in the entire AHL with 44.
Here are a few other quick-hit P-Bruins notes on their season so far:
•Veteran Chris Clark signed a PTO with the team last week and skated in two games over the weekend. He failed to record a point as was minus-1.
•The first month of the season saw Tyler Randell (October 16), Zach McKelvie (November 5) and Craig Cunningham (October 28) all record their first professional goal.
•Rookie Carter Camper leads the team with six assists and is second in points with eight.
•Jamie Arniel has started slow this season with just 1-2-3 totals and a minus-6 rating while skating in every game. Defenseman Colby Cohen has also been quiet with three assists and a minus-4 rating.

I’m disappointed then, if what you say about Hamill is correct. I thought Sauve had a good camp, and based on that he would have been my first choice. However, someone blogged that he has been out with a sore back.
Hamill didn’t earn anything. I’ve been watching him 4 years in PVD and he hasn’t improved. He actually did better his first year. The whole Dunk groans when Hamill is on the ice. All he’s earned is seniority by default.
Call up whomever has earned it. That’s sending the right message to the farm.
Hamill would be the logical choice for his play. Sauve is just back from an injury.

I with you regarding Hamill, I didn’t think he played very well in the preseason. I hope its either Sauve or Arniel.
Good – now trade him while he might be worth something. Then again – I thought Joe C was a wuss with a capital W and he’s rackin’ it up now for the Marlies….
It will be interesting to see who gets the call-up with Peverley and Paille both hurt. Hot as Hamill may be he looked awful in the preseason game that I saw and I doubt PC and CJ bring up a guy with so little defensive upside. Maybe someone who follows the P-Bruins would have an idea.
Joe was that english?
wonder when whitfield will be back hes huge part of the team oh tho before slow injury was having slow start khudobin their #1 goalie really good i saw best game palyed in springfield with lot of robbies of spr players his awful defense leaves him out to dry so often
