BOSTON — The Bruins returned to practice today at TD Garden after taking a day off Tuesday.

Everyone was on the ice except Daniel Paille, who had morning surgery to fix his fractured nose according to head coach Claude Julien.

After missing Monday night’s game, Rich Peverley was back at practice. He said he was feeling better and he could play Thursday night against Edmonton. Benoit Pouliot skated in Paille’s usual spot alongside Gregory Campbell and Shawn Thornton.

“It’s fun to watch. And now I get to be a part of it, so it’s going to be good,” said Pouliot about possibly playing on the fourth line. “I don’t want to mess up chemistry that they’ve got, and hopefully Piesy will come back. But for now, I’m going to fill that spot up and do the job.”
