Battle of back-ups, Taylor vs. Tyler set for Bruins-Oilers game

Rask/By S. Bradley

BOSTON — It appears that for the first time this season Tuukka Rask will get consecutive starts in the Bruins’ crease.

The Finnish netminder was the first goaltender off the ice after Boston’s morning skate today in preparation for tonight’s game with Edmonton at the TD Garden.

The Oilers will counter with their No. 2, as Devan Dubnyk gets the start.

Of course, regardless of who was going to play goal, the netminder battle was never going to be the marquee attraction tonight. That’s the battle between Tyler Seguin and Taylor Hall, the top two picks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Here’s my NHL.com story on the subject.

As for the Bruins’ injury situation, Daniel Paille is out but Rich Peverley is a game-time decision. If Peverley can’t play, Zach Hamill is here on emergency recall to step in on the wing.
