Four in a row for Bruins after Marchand, Seguin lead way past Oilers

Seguin/By D. Hickling
BOSTON — Tyler Seguin is now 2-0 in his ongoing rivalry with Edmonton star Taylor Hall, and the Bruins winger has linemate Brad Marchand to thank for leading the charge to victory.
Seguin scored a goal and Marchand buried two in the Bruins’ 6-3 win over the Oilers at the TD Garden tonight — the Bruins’ fourth straight win.
Seguin also recorded an assist, while Hall was limited to just one assist. The Bruins also beat the Oilers last season in Hall and Seguin’s rookie year after they were selected No. 1 and 2 overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
You can read my complete game story at NHL.com.
Joe Corvo recorded three assists for the Bruins, while Milan Lucic, Johnny Boychuk and Jordan Caron added goals.
The Bruins are now 7-7-0 on their season.
Hey, agree on the chara stuff, he is really looking slow.
Fortunately he uses his experience and size to make up for it, but not sure how long he will be able to keep that up… doubt its 7 more years thats for sure

I think your right about Chara, his play has been only okay. Fortunately, Boychuk’s play has been better and Sidenberg has played well. Corvo has got points, but he lacks physical play and body positioning in front of the net. If you notice, he rarely is out there on the penalty kill. Have to remember, we won the Cup with defense more than offense. At the front end, Seguin and Kelley have moved their games up. Most of you bloggers know I have been a supporter of giving Caron a good look. Hopefully, he continues to improve.

I wouldn’t get too excited about Hamill, just yet.
I agree on the Chara comment. He has not been himself for most of the games. He’s not been bad – just ok.
Tuukka looked good too, imo.
What McT said, and I’ll add that Corvo keeps looking better & better, & Caron’s getting back into it.
On the other hand, Chara is still out of sorts a bit w/ the puck.
If I’m not mistaken, I think that’s 3 GWG’s in a row for Seguin. And this one was a wacky one. Just noticed he’s a league-leading +11, not bad. Guess it helps playing on Bergeron’s line.
Meanwhile, Hamill looked like a different man out there. Good for him.
Good one for Marchand, and for the team. Back to .500 finally.
