BOSTON — We already know that after Tuukka Rask started and won the Bruins’ last two games, head coach Claude Julien is going to turn to Tim Thomas Saturday night against Buffalo.
The Bruins’ coach uncharacteristically revealed that after Rask beat Edmonton Thursday.
We also know that Rask is on a mini-roll, as I wrote today for CBS Boston.
What we don’t know is how a week off between starts will affect Thomas’ play.
“I don’t know. I don’t really pay attention one way or the other,” said Thomas today when asked after practice at the TD Garden if time off works in his favor. “If I’ve got to play every day, or almost every day, then you just do it. If there’s times when you’ve got breaks, you just along with the breaks.”
You can read more about Thomas’ time off in Saturday’s Boston Herald.
