Lucic/By S. Bradley
WILMINGTON, Mass. — The Bruins, including forward Milan Lucic, practiced today at Ristuccia Arena after taking Sunday off.
Lucic has a hearing with the NHL at 1 p.m. about his hit on Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller in Saturday night’s game.
Every skater was on the ice except for Andrew Ference, who’s out with a lower-body injury. Head coach Claude Julien said Ference is doing better and could start skating “in the next day or two.”
Daniel Paille practiced with a full cage. It was his first full practice since suffering a broken nose a week ago against the New York Islanders.
Benoit Pouliot, a healthy scratch Saturday, skated on the Chris Kelly-Rich Peverley line, while Jordan Caron skated on the fourth line.
RD,
I called you out for taking the “Wise Monkey” stance on Cole’s hit…hear, see, speak no evil when a hab player runs a goalie right after Lucic’s collision. You’re just a hab stooge.
I don’t actually care what you think because you’re a notch below most of the posters here. You’re simply looking for a reason to pick a fight with a habs fan so I gave you what you wanted. On numerous occasions, people have been complimentary towards me so I don’t think you can just lump me in with typical habs fans. I have a problem with you specifically Cormac.
I usually don’t resort to name calling (and I’ve dealt with plenty on this site) but your comparison is idiotic and I stand by that.
Cole cut across his crease and made lower body contact with the goalie. It was in overtime and Cole had zero chance of getting the puck. If there was some sinister plot to take out the goalie, wouldn’t they have done it at the beginning of the game and not in overtime when a 4-3 advantage would be so detrimental? It was an immensely stupid play and Cole was penalized for it.
Lucic on the other hand admits that when he saw Miller, he braced himself to hit him. He could have tried to move laterally but he made zero effort to avoid him. To compare the 2 impacts is just dishonest. One guy got clipped, another guy got flattened and concussed.
Finally, read my post history. I didn’t think Lucic should be suspended to begin with. I’m just calling you out for making such a lame dishonest comparison.
RD,
I’d expect no less from a hab fan, name calling, LOL Cole runs Enroth in his CREASE and no outrage…you’re comments prove you’re just buffoon!
Cormac,
Are you comparing the two plays or just showing everyone you’re an idiot?
They weren’t the same play at all so I don’t really get your point.
Cole runs Enroth in his crease tonight..I guess a suspension is in order, yes?
RD, Lucic forgot that he was actually on the ice when Cooke hit Savard and he did nothing after…in fact none of the Bruins did in that game.
If Lucic hadn’t been arrogant about it after the fact, downright amused when he commented that HIS team would have done something about his behavior, he probably wouldn’t have been suspended. It looked like he was daring the league to Shanaban him.
Good to hear that Paille was out there and that AF is close to skating.
He’s getting at least one game. You can’t let players take two minute penalties for taking out the opposing goalie. I’m not a big Miller fan so I didn’t mind the cheap shot. I don’t know if the two have had words or a history but it looked like Lucic enjoyed the “incidental” contact.
