WILMINGTON, Mass. — One of the driving forces of the Bruins’ recent resurgence in the standings has been forward Tyler Seguin.
The second-year player today was rewarded for his efforts with the NHL First Star of the Week honor.
Seguin had four goals and two assists in the Bruins’ two games, plus he was plus-4.
“It’s pretty cool. It’s never happened to me before and I feel pretty good about it,” said Seguin after the Bruins practiced today at Ristuccia Arena.
Seguin leads the Bruins with 20 points and 11 goals

He is a beauty to watch. Seguin, Bergeron, and Marchand seem to be an excellent line at both ends of the ice.
This could be the first of many awards for Tyler. What a joy it is to watch him play and develop so quickly. Go B’s

The kid is a snipah
He definitely earned it. He has been on fire and it is clear he went out of his way over the summer to improve his game and earn his ice time.
Matt should have four candidates. All being Tyler Seguin. There will be times when we wish he would shoot more but his playmaking ability will lead to goals because you can’t always play the shot. It’s been a long time since the B’s have had a guy that will lift you out of your seat. Almost as long as that cup drougnt.
The kid’s on fire, no doubt. It looks like he’s well on his way to receiving the even more prestigious BruinsBlog.net Star of the Week award too boot!
Congrats #19, well done sir!
