Chara/By S. Bradley
BOSTON — Bruins fans can rest assured that Zdeno Chara will not be rotting away in a Quebec prison any time soon.
And they can also look forward to the potential return of popular veterans Daniel Paille and Andrew Ference to the Boston lineup tonight.
It was announced today by Quebec’s prosecutor will not be criminally charging Chara in relation to last spring’s hit on Montreal forward Max Pacioretty.
Meanwhile, Johnny Boychuk missed the morning skate today at the TD Garden due to flu-like symptoms. So it looks like Andrew Ference will make an early return from his lower-body injury and play against Columbus after missing two games. Daniel Paille could also get back in the lineup after missing three games with a broken nose. Those decisions will be made at game time, head coach Claude Julien said.

Its good that JPT doesn’t work for the provincial justice system, in Quebec.
Yesterday’s 3 Stars:
#1 The Chara decision #2 The B’s ‘W’, #3 The habs loss
Do hockey players get flu shots? seems like they should, considering how often they get the flu.
Rather than the usual annoying ads, I think Matt you ought to have calliope music accompanying articles on this subject.
I think instead of “Cops let Chara off” the title should be “Prosecuters go back to doing their jobs”
Thank god this soap-opera is over. WTF?!
Finally! It seems like MTL fans are finally calm enough to not burn down their city if Chara isn’t being investigated. Is it possible, nay probably, that sanity will come to Montreal for the first time in 101 years?
