Maintenance day for Bruins’ Ference

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Bruins head coach Claude Julien said that Andrew Ference took a maintenance day today and will be back on the ice for practice tomorrow.
Ference was the only player missing for the Bruins at Ristuccia Arena.
Despite his team having picked up a point in 12 straight games (11-0-1), Julien still sees room for improvement.
“There’s always something you can do better,” said the coach. “We try and correct things after every game. We look at game tapes and certain areas. The last game, the one thing I thought we could’ve been better at were those outnumber situations. We didn’t get any shots off those and we have to be a little bit better. Instead of forcing a play, maybe a shot’s a better idea. We have a tendency to get too cute, so those are some of the things that we have to harp on the players once in a while and make sure we stay focused on doing the right things.”
•Tyler Seguin missed barely a shift after he took a Johnny Boychuk slap shot off the right ankle Saturday. He said today it’s swollen and sore but not anything that will hinder his play.
I like all the shots that AF has been getting on goal lately.
We all know he doesn’t have a cannon, but get it on net and anything can happen!
And by him I mean Seguin of course.
I have to admit I let out an “Oh sh*t” when I saw him go down. I imagine it was in concert with the rest of Bruins Nation. Glad to hear he is OK.
