Bruins assign Kampfer, Caron to Providence

Kampfer/By S. Bradley
Bruins defenseman Steven Kampfer and forward Jordan Caron have been on the sidelines lately, so Boston has decided to ship both out to the Providence (AHL) farm club to get some action.
Both players are expected to play for the P-Bruins Friday night in their home game against Connecticut.
Kampfer hasn’t played since Nov. 17. Caron hasn’t played since Nov. 15.
Expect one or both players to be back with Boston by Saturday or Sunday the latest, as the Bruins leave for a two-game road trip Monday and Tuesday at Pittsburgh and Winnipeg.
A pretty shrewd move by PC…he adds $’s to the B’s cap space by sending them down and they get ice time.
But Ed – all these guys are going to do is come to Boston and get free tickets to view the game and attend a few practices. We can’t stick our best AHL level talent in a booth all year and expect them to either add to the club, or prove their worth on the trade market.
It doesn’t matter to me who they bring up so long as they put the kids on a rotation so they are Playing.
Trust me, as a season ticket holder for the P-Bruins, have seen enough, we need to lose Cohen…..cut the losses and pass on this guy. Arniel needs to wake up too…no one down here is tearing it up…unfortunately
agree with Bojangles….
they will get ice time with the B’s because there will be injuries as always.
These guys should stay down there. Both of these guys need to play to meet their potential. Its not like either one is the Sheriff – give them both 5-7 games in PTown, bring up Arniel/Hamill and Bartkowski/Cohen and then switch. Put the kids on a rotation, but make sure they are playing hockey.
