Bruins can’t beat Theodore, Panthers

Bruins couldn't solve Theodore/By D. Hickling

BOSTON — Jose Theodore dominated the Bruins in the playoffs a decade ago in a Montreal uniform.

For one night he was back into that form Thursday in a 2-0 victory over Boston at the TD Garden, as he made season-high 40 saves and Tomas Kopecky scored the go-ahead goal in the third period.

Here’s my game story from NHL.com.

The Bruins have now lost two in a row since going 14-0-1 in the previous 15 games. They have scored just one goal in those two games.

Boston played most of the game shorthanded, as winger Daniel Paille suffered an undisclosed injury on a hit by Krys Barch in the first period. He looked concussed as he struggled to get to his feet after the hit. After the game, head coach Claude Julien would only say that Paille was being examined and that the medical staff wanted to keep him out of the game as a precaution.
