He might be hobbled by a foot injury right now, but Gregory Campbell was healthy enough to play his best last week when the Bruins were compiling a 2-2-0 record.
Campbell didn’t put up big numbers, but Bruins fans appreciated his efforts enough to vote him the Bruin of the Week.

Campbell recorded one goal and one assist. More important to the Bruins’ efforts were his faceoff percentage, his solid defense and his willingness to skate to Tim Thomas’ defense when the goaltender was run into in Pittsburgh. Penguins forward Joe Vitale found out from Campbell what the consequences of that action are.
Even the way Campbell got injured was a testament to the type of player he is. He blocked a shot that hobbled him in the first period, but he played through the pain the rest of the game.
Campbell now has 2-6-8 totals a plus-5 rating on the season.
The Bruins wouldn’t have won the Stanley Cup without the efforts of their fourth line centered by Campbell and flanked by Daniel Paille and Shawn Thornton. They won’t be able to defend their title without a similar effort. Recently, they’ve definitely been getting what they need from Campbell.
