Peverley a scratch for Bruins vs. Panthers

Peverley/By S. Bradley
BOSTON — The Bruins have decided to give Rich Peverley the night off tonight when they host Florida tonight at the TD Garden.
Peverley was the only Bruins player absent from the morning skate and after the session head coach Claude Julien confirmed the night of rest for Peverely.
The veteran forward did not practice this week after playing against Montreal Monday. His injury is undisclosed. The hope is that with more than a week off between games, Peverley will be ready to play next Wednesday in Phoenix.
Look for Zach Hamill to fill Peverley’s spot on the third line next to Benoit Pouliot and Chris Kelly.
Milan Lucic is scheduled to return from his one-game suspension tonight. Here’s more on Lucic in by CBS Boston column.
I’m officially on the JPT response boycott, RD on the other hand is a great contributor to the conversation on here. Happy Holidays everyone, this team is playing the best hockey over a 2 month stretch perhaps since have started watching hockey (in fairness I was born in the 80′s so I never saw the 70′s cup teams play)
Ok, I’m convinced Pouiliot is working. Originally wanted to see Chris Clark or Caron on third line. Not so much now.
Cheers to everyone this weekend. It is GREAT to be a Bruins fan.
PartickD – I agree with your suggestion regarding JPT. Wishing all a Merry Christmas!
I think it’s pretty clear to me and everyone else on this site that JPT comes on here to incite. So may I suggest that no matter what he says on here, no matter how ridiculous it is, we ignore it. Just carry on as if he doesn’t exist. Arguing with him or pointing out how stupid and off base his comments are serves no purpose but to keep him coming back. And with his beloved Habs playing like they are he will have lots of time to troll. So all those with me say..well…nothing. So how about those Bruins?
Poo Bear… Nice, Hungus-always got something clever don’t ya?
I’m gonna stick with “Benny.”
Glad to see “SeidenBeast” pop one in.
good call to scratch pevs. poo bear needs to wear #16 after that sick goal.
Dr. Peter
If you think Hamill can be an integral part of a championship team, then we don’t agree. He had a good week, as a call-up, period. As well, he is 23 years of age and he may have finally realized that time is passing him by. He was criticized on this website because of him past performances, not for any other reason. He was a high pick and people expected more.

There is no excuse for your comments regarding Chara. Your rationale that someone else said something stupid, and subseqeuntly its okay for your to do the same is an elementary schoolyard mindset, at best. You said something classless and you didn’t have enough character to ask Matt to pull it after. With that kind of vision and character, I can only hope that you will soon be the GM of the Habs.
What a week…Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noel all!
Dr. Peter, I know what you mean. I mentioned a week or so back that I didn’t mind at all seeing Chara getting injured against Vermette. People jumped all over me, but I know that those people are the same ones who were jumping for joy the night Matt Cooke was punched out by Evander Kane. So it is OK to enjoy seeing Cooke get injured but not Chara. Strange crowd on this site sometimes. Joyeux noel folks.
I have always believed in Hamill’s skills but was mocked on this very site some three months past when I stated I felt sorry for the kid for not getting a shot. Looks like he could be a permanent big leaguer given the right circumstance. One thing for sure: Julien is a supporter of this kid. However, too many of YOU on these types of sites just plain GIVE UP ON A PLAYER WAY TOO SOON!
Good opportunity here to get a little payback and send everyone off smiling for the holiday, against a team that played the night before, traveled, AND is down a bunch of forwards.
Tell you what though, the Cats played a spirited game last night against the Sens. Went back and forth late, but they pulled out 2-points.
Two teams right there that have been surprising so far, eh?
Yukster – You show me someone who says they had Hamill as the primary call up and Ill show you a liar.
I’d love to see Hammil bury his first goal tonight, he’s been a solid player the last few weeks when they needed him.
At the beginning of the season, who had Zach Hammil as the Bs’ primary call-up?
