With Calgary conquered, Bruins can continue onslaught against Canucks

Horton/By S. Bradley
BOSTON — As far as heavyweight tune-ups go, this one was Godzilla against the Geico gecco.
The Bruins, two days in advance of their Stanley Cup Final rematch with Vancouver, destroyed Calgary 9-0 behind two goals from Nathan Horton and Patrice Bergeron and a total of eight multi-point scorers at the TD Garden tonight.
Boston has now scored six or more goals 11 times this season and has won nine of its last 10.
Even without Brad Marchand (flu), the Bruins’ offense couldn’t be slowed. Tuukka Rask took care of the rest in net with 25 saves for his third shutout of the season. He has allowed just one goal in his last 276:08 of ice time.
The Canucks visit the Garden for 1 p.m. game Saturday.
How was it Andrew?
I’m looking for a clean game, no fighting obviously the B’s are tougher, lets prove they are better at hockey
I cannot believe how good the B’s are playing. Seems like only a major injury will slow this team down (fingers crossed!)
Going into this season, I expected Pouliot to be the only hole in this lineup, like the rest of you I look forward to seeing this guy on the ice
what a lineup top to bottom, hats off to management and the coaching staff, we salute you!
Happy for Pouliot. I had low expectations and he’s definitely exceeded them.
What can I say, Bruins are really scary right now.
Stay healthy, who knows how far you can go.
Maybe Pouliot has a different connection to the coach and linemates with Boston that he didn’t have in other places that is keeping his effort level up. I heard an interview with him where he said he was happy with his icetime and some PP minutes, perhaps that is enough for him to work as hard as he does in the offensive zone. He’s a real pleasant surprise. Can’t wait for Saturday afternoon.
Pouliot is for me only the second biggest suprise for me…although he is contributing to the first. I can’t get over the goal production from Chris Kelly, he has cooled of late but I expected him to be a locker room/15 goal scorer and that was about it but him along with pev and pouliot are one of the best third lines in the league.
Last 2 home games, a combined 17-0. Wow. The whole team looks great, but I have to say I have been most pleasantly surprised by Pouliot, certainly for the past two months. This was a guy I was prepared not to like, and I find myself looking forward to when he’s on the ice.
I know it’s been said here before but how good would Iggy look in Black and Gold? If it wasn’t for Tuukka having the shut-out going I would have loved to have seen Iggy get his 500th as well. Bring on the Canucks!
I found that by the time it was 7-0 I was almost pulling for Iggy to pot his 500th goal. If for no other reason than he is Iggy
I am going to continue to live in this dream please do not wake me up (for a while)!

Can’t wait for the game. I live in BC, so mostly I can’t wait to walk around in my Bruins jersey and taunt Canucks fans
