BOSTON — Bruins head coach Claude Julien said after practice today at the TD Garden that forward Nathan Horton suffered post-concussion-like symptoms after attempting to skate and has since ceased skating.
Horton was injured on a Tom Sestito hit in Philadelphia Jan. 22.
Horton reportedly skated on his own last Sunday while the Bruins were on the road. While the Bruins have classified the current concussion as “mild” it comes seven months after a more severe one he suffered on an Aaron Rome hit in the Stanley Cup Final.
“He’s back to Square 1, and we’re giving him some time here,” said Julien.

Clearly Horton’s concussion symptoms are worsening because TT doesn’t like Obama. Right?
Too bad there aren’t many articles these days.
Habs play the bruins next and yeah, we’re near the basement but I still want to see a good match.
On the bright side, Ryan White is back from a long layoff due to a sports hernia. He’ll be good to have in the lineup because he shows plenty of heart and grit.
Any more info on Horton…still out for this game no doubt?
i don’t know that it changes much. they needed a winger either way, caron ain’t getting it done, hamill didn’t get it done. the way the bruins play a top 9 forward should be a priority, especially given the horton situation.
also, maybe they get peverly some contacts to he can start hitting the net. that might be a good deadline deal.
i’d like a forward and to replace corvo. if that comes at the expense of krejci, even better.

Not what we want to hear, obviously. What do you think this does to the B’s front office trade-wise, Matt?
