Chara among Bruins who impress peers according to NHLPA poll

Chara/By S. Bradley
Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara has been a perennial All-Star, a Norris Trophy winner and a Stanley Cup champion during his lengthy NHL career.
And his peers continue to grant him the utmost respect.
According to the 2011-12 Hockey Night in Canada/NHLPA poll, Chara was voted as both the “toughest defenseman to play against” and as the player with the “hardest shot” (which has been scientifically proven).
Chara wasn’t the only Bruins player to earn accolades in the poll. Center Patrice Bergeron was voted the “most underrated players” and winger Milan Lucic won the vote for “toughest player.”
B-16 I all for a move and yes I did foget to mention Seidnberg and pouly they have been good but I will stick with my thoughts on Caron and Hennesey just don’t add enough spark for me.

I think you needed to include Sidenberg as a player you noticed positively. As well, since Pouliot’s good move in Montreal, for a goal, he hasn’t gone close to the front of the net. Don’t think you were fair with Caron; his last two games have been his best this season. He was more physical and he went to the front of the net.
PC needs to make a move on Nash. Our team is living on November and December play, and it needs a jolt. Columbus is looking for a goalie who can be number 1. Bernier (LA) is too inexperienced, so that leaves Vancouver and Boston. Nash would look far better with Lucic, Thornton, and Bergeron, than Kesler and the Sedins.
I agree with Mike K and good god Paille you have got to net some of these break aways. He shoots right at the goalies chest every time I understand he is not a goal scorer but he is so fast he will get these chances. The only players I notice shift in and out are Bergy line, Looch, and Merlot line. D wise Corvo has really been given effort of recent along with Boychuck. Our goalies are a mess Tukka “needs time to work on things”, and Tim well he just seems to be going through the motions. I feel for Claude you watch this team and you just can not pin point how to fix. Really Horton and peverly as individuals were not lighting up the score sheet but maybee there loss has really shown a depth issue. Caron and Hennesey are not Nhl quality sorry they just allow others to catch a breath they have no tangible skills or edge to be with useful with this club and get us out of the mud.
Besides the goals against, that was the best game from the boys in Black & Gold in a long time. Backstrom made some huge saves and Thomas was average to below average, which was the difference.
At least they played their game and didn’t let the other team dictate the pace, which has been the case as of late, getting them out of their structure and system.
Give that effort with that structure, but add more of a physical component, and the W’s will start to come.
Problem is they keep settling for these long distance shots from their defensemen instead of driving to the net. The better goalies in the league will stop these shots (or the men in front of him will). This is why they are losing…well this and the fact that neither goalie can stop a beachball at the moment. Get in your net Thomas!
I’m not panic yet but very close. This is like watching last years red Sox debacle. What is it 4 games in last 13 we have been shut out come on. Lets keep working from the goal out so soon we can get a 0 to 0 tie. Once again thank you Thorny for showing up and playing like a Bruin.
Pretty sure when a goalie stands on his head for a 49 save shutout, thats a sufficient excuse. No need to panic. Pucks are gonna start finding the back of the net soon. Just need goalies to stop playing like garbage. Both goals today were weak, although the call on Kelly was, um, less than stellar. Still didn’t decide the game.
Sheesh, this team stinks! Seidenberg had his back to the puck carrier on the goal! They teach you not to do this in midget hockey. The Wild stinks. The Jets are mediocre. They were out muscled by the Habs. Injuries are no excuse. Every team has them. This team has been bad since the Dallas game. I expected a slump, but this is SEVEN WEEKS!
Yea,Yea, Yea. Bruins just lost another game to Minnesota. Let’s hope they get out of this FUNK real soon. Someone needs tp light a fire under this team. Com’on Claude you gotta have a few tricks up your sleeve!
